The Small Business Contractors' Forum provides timely news, information, opportunities, education and connections for small business contractors, government representatives, and prime contractors. Through this convenient online community and information portal you and your firm will make connections, stay up to date on important contracting developments, learn of upcoming opportunities, and develop strategies for success.

The Small Business Contractors' Forum is a joint initiative of the National Association of Small Business Contractors and the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce. Working together, we are supporting the growth of America's proud small business contractors.

The Small Business Contractor's Forum (SBCF) is an important gathering place for small business contractors. Individually, all of our businesses work to bring increased opportunities and growth to our firms. Together, we gain increased access to information, partnerships, and clout.

Small Business Contractors' Forum Has Powerful Features

Business Promotion
Your membership profile is at the heart of the Small Business Contractors' Forum. While all small business suppliers (and government agencies and prime contractors) may join the SBCF and setup a profile, National Association of Small Business Contractors members receive enhanced profile listings including full capabilities statement, additional NAICS codes, business website URL, keywords, DUNS, etc. Through your profile (and our full featured, advanced search) your business may be accessed by other business owners and government and prime contractor representatives. NASBC members also may feature their business in our "Business Showcase" which provides additional promotional features.

News & Information
NASBC members received enhanced access to news and information at the Small Business Contractors' Forum and may register to receive instant alerts as information is posted online in areas of interest that are important to your firm. Sources Sought notifications, government agency news and updates, contracting news and trends, advocacy issues, and new postings by individuals and organizations you are following (potential teaming partners, for instance). Through your SBCF update registrations you stay connected to updates customized to fit your needs.

Connections
Connections are the life blood of small businesses seeking contracts. As suppliers, we are always working to extend our connections deep into government agencies, prime contractors, commercial big business, resource providers and related small business contractors. The Small Business Contractors Forum is your hub to create, extend, and leverage important connections for your business.

Getting Started is Easy.  

Register
Registration is quick and easy.  To get started, go to the SBCF sign up page, complete and submit. 

[NOTE:  After you register, a member of the National Association of Small Business Contractor support team will review your registration, and (if you are a paid NASBC member) raise your registration privileges so that you can take advantage of the full features of the business community. 

Setup Your Profile
Go to the Edit Profile Page to update your profile.  You may provide a full capabilities statement, additional NAICS codes, DUNS, CAGE, socio-economic qualifications, and more.  And, don't forget to click on the tab for "photo" to upload your photo or logo to display with your business listing.

[REMINDER:  As noted above, a system administrator will need to upgrade your registration to give you full access to all the profile fields.  You will be notified when your registration has been upgraded to the paid member level.] 

Search and Connect
After you have registered and setup your profile, you will be ready to get connected to other members.  Just go to the Directory to get started.  Use the search interface (see the left side of the page) to search for businesses or connections that may be important to you -- NAICS codes, industry, regions, socio-economic qualifications, etc.

After you complete a search, click through on the images and names to view the profiles for other SBCF members.  If you find someone of interest, click on the, "Add to My Connections" link or "Send Message" (these links are along the left side of the page just below the member profile image). 

When you request the "Add to My Connections," the member you have requested to become a connection will receive a notification.  When they accept your request to become a connection, you will be advised.  You may view all of your connections from your profile page (When you add connections, a new tab will appear called, "Connections."  Just click on the tab to view your current connections.)

When you use the "Send Message" feature an internal email will be sent directly to the SBCF member.  Upon receipt, they may respond to you view the messaging system. 

Groups
Groups organize people, opportunities, news and information.  Peruse the available groups.  As you find groups that match your interest, click the "Join Group" link (this link is along the left side of the page just below the group image).  And, if you are interested in receiving email updates when new items post at the group, click on the "Subsribe to Group" link (you may unsubscribe at any time).

There are many group types -- interest areas like federal and state agencies, prime contractors, small business issues and  news.  

Opportunities
We strongly suggest you register for the groups where we regularly post Sources Sought notifications.  Sources Sought groups are setup by industry sector -- enabling you to join and register for updates that match your industry.

Knowledge Center
You should also peruse the Knowledge Center to learn new government connections, find research tools and links, and take advantage of educational tools.
